Upgraded NetAttaché Pro offline browser gains link to Yahoo
By Maria Seminerio

Tympani Development Inc. today announced an upgraded version of its NetAttaché Pro offline browser.

New features include built-in data compression capability, a direct link to Yahoo Inc.'s search engines, subject directories and a download size- and time-limiting utility, Tympani officials said.

NetAttaché Pro 2.2 also lets users query multiple search engines simultaneously and download matching pages in a single operation. Users can control the number of archived versions of given files. The product monitors World Wide Web sites for changes by archiving several consecutive views of the site.

Memory management utilities, URL-blocking capabilities, smart-search features and user-interface customization options also have been added to the new version, company officials said.

NetAttaché Pro 2.2 will be available as a threaded 32-bit application for Windows 95 and Windows NT within the next two weeks and as a 16-bit application for Windows 3.1 next month. Pricing is $49.95, although the product is available for download from Tympani's Web site (www.tympani.com/) or from www.software.net or www.buydirect.com for $39.95 until Jan. 31, 1997, company officials said.

Tympani is based in Sunnyvale, Calif.
